Documents

- Valid passport (at least 6 months). Most nationalities don’t need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days.
- Copy of your passport or a photo on your phone; keep the original in a safe place when you don’t need it.
- Driver’s license if you plan to rent a car (valid for up to 90 days for tourists).
- Travel insurance that covers medical care and repatriation; recommended even if not required.
Clothes and shoes
- Light, breathable clothing: it’s hot on the coast and in the valley.
